Nominations for the 2025 Hume Young Leaders Awards are open to celebrate the leadership and contributions young people living in the city are making to their communities.
The annual celebration invites nominations aged 12-24 who are advocating for, and leading change within their communities and across Hume.
Nominations can be made on behalf of a young person who you see leading change, or by the leader themselves, to ensure their efforts are recognised.
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Young Advocacy Leader
- Young Enviornmental Leader
- Young Creative Leader
- Young Entrepreneurial Leader
- Young Sport Leader
- Young Refugee/Newly Arrived Leader
- Young Aboriginal Leader
- Young Group of the Year
In addition, young people new to their leadership journey will also be selected as an Emerging Young Leader and one Young Leader of the Year, will be chosen by an Assessment Panel.
All finalists and their families will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at Town Hall Broadmeadows in September, where category winners will receive a $500 cheque and certificate from Hume City Council.
