Sunbury will come alive this Sunday, 23 November, when the Sunbury StreetLife Festival returns to the town centre for a full day of entertainment, food, and fun.

The long-running community event is organised entirely by volunteers and has grown steadily since its launch in 2013, supported by Hume City Council, local businesses and sponsors.

This year’s festival – which kicks off at 10am – will again highlight the breadth of Sunbury’s small business community and the many local groups contributing to the town’s cultural life.

Visitors can expect:

  • Live music
  • Plenty of market stalls
  • Children’s activities
  • Community information displays
  • A wide selection of food from cafés, restaurants, and food trucks
  • Specialty stalls offering homewares, gifts, and handmade items
  • Scheduled performances and interactive activities

President of Sunbury Street Life is Sharyn Snook, and she says the Village Green will be a big attraction for families and young children with plenty to see and do.

“We’ve got all the shopping you need for Christmas, you can play golf, there’s plenty of actives, great live music, you can sit and relax with a cocktail – it’s going to be a wonderful day for everyone.”

A feature of the 2025 program is the release of 150 limited-edition “business bags” containing complimentary products donated by local traders. Proceeds from bag sales, along with funds raised through the festival’s raffle, will go to this year’s nominated charity, Kids Under Cover, which supports young people at risk of homelessness.

Festival organisers say StreetLife provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to rediscover Sunbury’s town centre and meet the people behind local enterprises. They encourage families to make a day of it and remind attendees that the event is free and suitable for all ages.

Parking will be available on Barkly Street, Evans Street and surrounding areas within walking distance. Drivers are asked not to use the nearby church or IGA car parks.

Program updates and event information are available at the StreetLife website.
