The government is stumping up $4.5m to build the Jacksons Creek Community Centre in the Everley Estate, creating 118 additional kinder places for Sunbury families.
Hume City Council will build the community centre, which will include two kindergarten rooms and offer maternal and child health services alongside community activity spaces.
The project is part of the government’s $12.9m Building Blocks Partnership with Hume City Council that now includes six new and expanded kindergartens.
Together, the services will deliver up to 450 kindergarten places to families across the city, while providing essential access to child, family and community services in growing suburbs.
No date has been announced for when construction will start.
