Construction is officially underway on a residents’ club at Villawood Properties’ Redstone development in Sunbury.
The town’s MP Josh Bull joined Villawood top brass to mark the occasion with a ceremonial sod-turning event, signalling the start of what is expected to become a major social and recreational hub for Villawood residents in the 2,500-lot masterplanned community.
Mr Bull praised the project as a significant milestone for the growing suburb.
“This is incredible progress for our expanding town,” he said. “These exceptional facilities will provide even more opportunities for recreation, relaxation and enjoying quality time with family, friends and neighbours for many years to come – complementing our town’s already enviable infrastructure and surrounds.”
Designed by ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects and to be built by the Jardon Group, Club Redstone is scheduled to open in spring 2026.
Once complete, the exclusive residents-only facility will include a wide range of features, including:
- Undercover lap pool
- Outdoor plunge pool
- Kiddies’ splash deck
- Fully equipped gym
- Boutique café and restaurant
- Secure parents’ lounge overlooking a play space
- Function room
- Independent childcare centre that will be open to the public

Villawood Properties CEO Alan Miller said the club is designed to foster social connections and provide residents with shared spaces to meet and unwind.
“We have people who come to live here from all different places,” Mr Miller said. “They don’t know who their neighbours are going to be. They want to meet new people and make new friends.
“Club Redstone will offer places where families can bring their kids, enjoy the café, stay active in the gym or celebrate birthdays and even weddings in the function room. It’s a great spot for people to connect.”
Club Redstone will also host events, programs, and classes aimed at strengthening community ties early in the estate’s development.
Architecturally, the building’s curved form draws from the natural landscape, with earthy red tones and textured bricks referencing the region’s fertile soil. Large glazed areas and a two-level layout are designed to maximise views and natural light. The Redstone club is the 11th be built by Villawood.
