Curtain call delayed, but trivia takes the spotlight

With the stage at Jacksons Hill quiet for a while, the team at Boilerhouse Theatre Company is making sure the fun doesn’t stop – inviting locals to a night of trivia, laughter and community spirit.

It’s holding a fund-raising trivia night on Friday, 22 November, at the Boilerhouse Gallery (Building 20, Jacksons Hill) from 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Tickets are $10 per person, with team tables organised on the night.

Proudly hosted by the popular Sunbury theatre group, the evening promises “classic pub-style trivia,” prizes for top teams and even one for the wittiest team name. Guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks and snacks for a relaxed night of fun and friendly competition.

The event comes as Boilerhouse Theatre prepares for a major transition. Its home in Building 22 on Jacksons Hill is undergoing extensive renovations to transform the historic site into a community arts and cultural centre. As a result, the company’s anticipated production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has been postponed until March 2026.
