Hume City Council is once again offering a free confidential Tax Help service to help residents who earned less than $60,000 in the last financial year to complete and lodge their tax returns.
The Tax Help program is delivered in Broadmeadows and Craigieburn. The program is run by the Australian Taxation Office and supported by trained and accredited volunteers from the Hume Volunteer Gateway.
From July to October each year, accredited Tax help volunteers help people lodge their tax returns online. Volunteers can also help you:
- lodge amendments
- claim a refund of franking credits
- tell us if you don’t need to lodge a return
To make an enquiry or appointment call 9356 6928 or email [email protected]
You will need a myGov account linked to the Australian Taxation Office prior to attending your appointment.
