Free live music at Sunbury Social Club
The 60s & 70s jam session for local musicians is at the Sunbury Social Club on the first Sunday of every month. Go along for a great afternoon of music. Free entry.
Doors open at 12 noon so you can enjoy a drink and a meal before the music starts at 2pm. Great dance floor. Everyone welcome. Mark it on your calendar now.

Lift the lid walk for mental health
The Sunbury Rotary Club’s ‘Lift The Lid Walk’ will begin at Rotary Park, Ligar St, and continue through the Pine Forest and around Clarke Oval.
The 3.5 hour walk and talk format is not a race and is not just about raising funds. It’s an opportunity for people to talk about mental health as they walk to raise awareness of the serious mental health issues we face in all areas of our communities, schools, homes and workplaces.
Entry is free for children aged 15 or younger, and everyone who has been impacted by or cares about Mental Health. $30 early bird registrations receive an event T-shirt. T-shirts available for early bird registrations only.
SunFest Sunbury
SunFest will return in 2026 bigger and better than ever, for its 50th year.
With thousands of people attending SunFest each year, the two-day event offers great attractions with talented local entertainers, dancers, choirs and children’s entertainment. There will be the Battle of the School Choirs, the Grand Street Parade and Colour Run, plus carnival rides, market and food stalls and much more.
Free swimming for kids
Hume City Council is offering free swimming for children aged 13 and under and their guardian at three council-run aquatic centres on the last Sunday of the month from 2pm to 5pm until 28 June 2026 (correct – 2026).
Water slides at Splash are not included, Lockers purchasable at an additional cost, Watch Around Water (WAW) policy applies. Women’s only sessions not included. Swim, Spa, Steam and Sauna not included.
