Hume City Council draft road management plan

Hume City Council is inviting feedback on its Draft Road Management Plan (RMP).

Feedback must relate to the content of the draft RMP. Other issues relating to roads or footpaths in Hume are out of scope of this consultation, including road safety issues, maintenance of trees or nature strips and the budget for planning for new roads or footpaths.

    Sunbury Neighbourhood Garden working bee

    Get your hands dirty learning about the edible, indigenous and useful plants in a productive garden.

    There will be tasks for all skill sets, new or experienced gardeners are always welcome. No need to book, just drop in and say hi.

    Help with planting some autumn and winter crops in our raised wicking beds.

    Got some extra produce you’d like to swap? You’re welcome to bring it along. 

    Enjoy some autumn sunshine, meet new people in a relaxed setting and learn about productive gardening from each other.

      Kangaroos in Hume – Information Session

      Join the council’s Urban Biodiversity team for an informative and practical session about living with kangaroos, covering essential topics like what to do if you hit a kangaroo, how to report injured or deceased animals, and ways to live safely alongside wildlife.

      Speakers will provide practical advice on reducing risks on roads, pouch-checking for surviving joeys, getting help from a local wildlife rescue and understanding kangaroo behaviour. These sessions aim to educate residents on responsible wildlife interactions while promoting coexistence with local fauna.
