Sunbury’s creative community is gearing up for one of its most popular annual shows, with the Sunbury Art Society’s Studio sales event set to take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November at the Goonawarra Community Centre.
Running from 10am to 4pm each day, the event will showcase a wonderful mix of arts and crafts, jewellery, plants, pottery, and woodwork, all lovingly handmade by local artists and makers.
Now a much-loved local tradition held each November, the studio sales event brings together members of the Sunbury Art Society, the Sunbury Pottery Group, and Sunbury Woodworkers Group, offering visitors a wide variety of unique, locally-made pieces – ideal for Christmas gifts.
“This event is a great way for the community to support local artists and craftspeople while finding something special and one-of-a-kind,” said a Sunbury Art Society spokesperson.
Around 20 tables will be filled with a diverse range of creations, and visitors will also have the chance to win a hamper basket for just $1 per raffle ticket.
Due to construction works near the Boilerhouse on Jacksons Hill, the annual event’s traditional venue, this year’s sales exhibition will take place at the Goonawarra Community Centre, 20 Dornoch Dr. The change comes with a bonus – plenty of parking for visitors.
