The Sunbury Business Association (SBA) is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the year, with the annual Twilight Market returning to the town on Friday 12 December.
In a festive boost for the town, organisers have been granted permission to transform the vacant block at 52 O’Shanassy St into a pop-up Christmas Wonderland – but they’re calling on the community to help bring the vision to life.
According to the SBA, volunteers of all skill levels are welcome, with several roles to be filled.
What the SBA needs:
- Handy helpers: A small team is required to safely remove the panels at the front of the block and reinstall them after the event.
- Heavy lifters: Volunteers are also needed to help move temporary fencing at the rear of the site.
- Large festive décor: Anyone with sizeable Christmas decorations or display items available to loan is encouraged to get in touch.
- Decorating crew: Community members who enjoy adding sparkle and creativity are invited to help set up the wonderland ahead of the market.
- Pack-down support: Extra hands will be needed after the event to assist with dismantling and packing away decorations.
The SBA says the Twilight Market is shaping up to be “something really special,” but the Christmas magic will rely on community involvement.
Residents who can assist are encouraged to comment on the SBA.
