Drivers caught up in a horse poo spillage vented their frustration on social media, with some saying their cars stink – despite being cleaned.
It appears motorists using Bulla Rd at around 8pm Monday 28 April drove through manure that apparently fell off a lorry onto the road. Motorists inadvertently spread it across the Tarmac as they drove through the sludge.
“My car has been assessed as a bio hazard. It has been cleaned by professionals and they are unable to remove the sludge and odour, it’s all through my seals, motor and undercarriage,” wrote Marnie Webber on a Sunbury Community Facebook page Wednesday 30 April. “The odour is unbearable.”
More than one hundred people responded to the post with some also complaining of having driven through the mess.
“This was outside my house,” said Kaylee Coulsell on Facebook. “We also had to hose off all our cars. There were cars slipping all over the road, very surprised there wasn’t an accident.”
A spokesman for Vic Roads said it sent out a clean-up team when the issue was reported and confirmed it was manure.
