Members of vocal harmony group InSync Entertainment are preparing for an afternoon performance of jazz and pop songs in a show called Sisters InSync.
Deb Sweeney is among the group’s members and says they are looking forward to singing a range of classic and contemporary songs under the leadership of musical director Gaby Crowley.
Ms Sweeney says there will also be plenty to see with members performing dance routines in-between various costume changes that will add to the entertainment.
“We are an all female group and have been running since 2012,” says Ms Sweeney.
“We sing for private events, various clubs, retirement and aged care homes, Probus groups and are a regular performer for community festival Sunfest.”
InSync Entertainment also perform at Sunbury Square as part of Morning Melodies, at Sunbury’s Anzac services, and with the Navy Band at the Melbourne Shrine for the Battle of the Coral Sea commemoration, among others.
“We go basically anywhere people would like us to sing,” says Ms Sweeney.
The group welcomes new members, and there are no auditions required.
“We are always looking for new members,” she says. “We are a fun group of likeminded women who share a passion of singing in harmony, performing, and love dressing in costume.”
Anyone interested in joining InSync Entertainment can call 0493 703 222.
The group will be performing Sisters InSync on Saturday, 19 October, 2pm to 3.30pm at Sunbury Baptist Church, Gap Rd. Click here for advanced tickets, or pay $5 at the door. Following the performance there will be afternoon tea and a raffle.
