A free community event aimed at supporting men’s health and wellbeing will be held at Mt Macedon Golf Club in October.
Stand Together: Men’s Wellness BBQ and Forum invites men of all ages and backgrounds to come together for an evening of conversation, connection and resilience-building in a relaxed setting.
The forum will feature a free barbecue dinner with meat and vegetarian options, guest speakers, and access to local support services. Showbags with mental health resources will be available, along with a chance to win a meat tray on the night.

Organisers say the 23 October event is designed to encourage open discussion around mental health challenges, including suicidal thoughts, and to support those caring for friends and family experiencing difficulties.
A highlight of the evening will be keynote speaker Mark Thomas, a former police sergeant and co-founder of The Code 9 Foundation, a charity supporting first responders. Drawing on his lived experience with PTSD and recovery, Mr Thomas will share a message of hope and resilience.
The event is hosted by the Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Action Group (MRSPAG).
Ample free parking is available at the venue. The event is free, click here to register.
