Miniature railway open day in Bulla

Families looking for a fun day out can climb aboard the trains at the next public open day of the Bulla Hill Miniature Railway on Sunday, June 21.

The popular miniature railway, operated by volunteers from the Tullamarine Live Steam Society, offers train rides for both children and adults from 11am to 4pm.

Located at 15 Green Street, Bulla, the attraction features miniature steam, diesel and electric locomotives running through the parkland setting. Entry is free, with train rides costing $5 per person. Children under 12 months ride free.

Visitors can also make use of picnic shelters, barbecues, a kiosk, playground and free parking. The railway is run entirely by volunteers and all funds raised are used to maintain and improve the facility.

Public running days are held on the third Sunday of every month, with the last train departing at 3.45pm.
