The Sunbury branch of Nab Bank in Brook St – temporarily closed in January for building maintenance – will not re-open at its current site, says a bank spokesperson.
Previously, bank staff told Sunbury Life it would open in July. However, not only does the branch remain closed, its street-facing ATM has been removed.
After months of delays, a bank spokesperson says it’s reviewed its options – and it’s all change.
Finny George, the bank’s retail customer executive, says: “While we’ve been temporarily closed, we’ve explored how we would best serve our Sunbury customers and decided that a new, modern branch close by would be the best way to do this.”
Without providing a street address for the new branch, or a specific opening date, Mr George says the bank is “investing in a brand new location in Sunbury which will serve the community well into the future”.
“We look forward to sharing more details of the new branch to open in early 2025,” says Mr George.
The bank’s customers can continue in-person banking via Bank@Post at the Sunbury Australia Post on Brook St, and withdraw cash fee-free at any major bank ATM.
