Sunbury Agricultural Society is $5,000 better off having been awarded the cash in the latest round of Greater Western Water’s (GWW) annual Thriving Communities Grants and Sponsorship Program.
The society organises The Sunbury Agricultural Show which features performances from local artists and school groups, equestrian events, cooking demonstrations, and arts & craft stalls.
The next show is planned for Saturday 14 October 2023 at the Sunbury Recreational Reserve (Clarke Oval) – gates open 8.30am.
In all, 26 community groups and organisations will receive funding from GWW this year, each getting a share of its $176,000 pot.
GWW general manager strategy and partnerships, Kessia Thomson, says the company received 50% more applications for the 2023-24 program when compared to last year.
