Citizens Advocacy looking for more members

Citizens Advocacy is holding an information evening on Wednesday May 24 at Sunbury Library, 44 Macedon Street from 6:15pm to 8:30pm, to promote its work and recruit new members.

The organisation aims to recognise, promote, and defend the rights and interests of people with an intellectual disability.

It does this by attracting volunteers who can make a positive difference in the life of a person with an intellectual disability, andwho may be lonely, face difficult challenges, or be in a risky situation

Citizen Advocacy has no sectarian or political affiliations and is motivated only by the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of some of our community’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable citizens.

Taking part in the information evening will be guest speakers, supper is provided, and organisers say it will be a good community networking opportunity.
