Police are appealing for help after a man was caught on CCTV dancing in a Sunbury school carpark before allegedly stealing more than $5,000 worth of electronic equipment.
According to detectives, the incident occurred around 1.10am Wednesday 23 April when a man driving a silver Holden Commodore entered the (un-named) school grounds.
CCTV footage allegedly captures the man getting out of the car and, in an unexpected twist, dancing, spinning, and jumping to music before making his way onto the property.
The man spent several minutes scaling the school grounds before breaking into a building, where he allegedly stole three laptops and a projector.
Police have described the suspect as Caucasian, in his 30s, with a medium build and long dark brown hair. He was wearing a red and black hooded jumper, black runners, a red headband, and blue gloves.
Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Anyone with information or who may recognise the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
