Emergency services were called to the Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Ligar St, at 10.20am on Tuesday 7 May after a woman was found to have suffered a medical episode at the centre.
A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics attended an emergency there, and directed us to the police for further enquiries.
Police say the woman, who has not been named by officials, died due to a “medical episode”.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a woman in Sunbury,” says a police spokesperson. “The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
The sports centre was closed following the event for the rest of the day.
