Police are appealing for help to find the driver of a speeding car seen in Sunbury Thursday 26 June.
Officers were travelling northbound on Lancefield Rd when they spotted a white Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ, with black and white registration plates about 4.25pm.
Officers watched the car overtake another vehicle across double white lines before continuing to overtake six other cars at a speed of 158km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Apparently ignoring requests to pull over, the driver accelerated onto the wrong side of the road, and the police motorcycle pursuit was called off for safety reasons.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, particularly those with dashcam footage that may have captured the vehicle, to come forward.
