Sunbury SES need old cars to train volunteers to use heavy cutting equipment such as the jaws of life – used to free people trapped in vehicles.
The unit is one of more than 100 road rescue services across the State, and its volunteers rely on community donations of cars and other vehicles to practice on.
Donated cars don’t need to work, mechanical condition isn’t important, but vehicles do need to roll on their wheels.
If you can help, send your name, contact details, and car location to [email protected].
SES members can organise pickup and transport, or you can legally drive it to its headquarters.
