Driver’s licence suspended after breath test

A Sunbury man driving in Elphinstone Saturday 1 November was stopped by police for allegedly driving erratically.

Officers received a number of reports of a white ute driving erratically along the Calder Highway around 7pm.

Police intercepted a ute in Elphinstone and spoke to the 37-year-old driver.

He underwent a preliminary breath test and returned to the police station for an evidentiary test where he returned an alleged reading of 0.253.

His licence was suspended and the car impounded for 30 days with $1,874 in costs. Police state he is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving related offences.
