East Sunbury is set to welcome a new community hub, with the launch of East Village Sunbury — a marketplace designed to bring together local businesses, food, entertainment, and community spaces.
The development, located along Lancefield Rd, is being positioned as the future “village heart” of the fast-growing East Sunbury region. The site will offer everything from morning wellness sessions and family-friendly brunch spots, to live music nights and convenient shopping.
Developers say East Village will complement the broader East Sunbury masterplan, linking new schools, community facilities, and John McMahon Reserve – home to local football, cricket, and netball clubs.
More than 6,000 cars already pass the site daily, connecting Sunbury to Romsey, Riddells Creek and Lancefield. With the local population projected to grow at more than 6% annually (well above the Melbourne average of 1.7%), East Village is expected to become a focal point for residents and visitors alike.
A supermarket has already been secured as an anchor tenant, and developers are now seeking local traders to join the precinct.
Designed by Birchmore, developers say the project emphasises walkability, green design, and sustainability.
