Sunbury’s median home value now $702,000

The most expensive property sold within the past two weeks in Sunbury was a 4-bed house in Curtis Avenue that changed hands for $1.25 million according to the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, a trade body for the industry.

Among the four properties listed by the institute as sold by Sunbury estate agencies since 20 June include land at Flycatcher Rd. It reached a price at auction of $311,000.

The institute puts the median value of homes across Melbourne at $956,000, while the median figure for a home in Sunbury is $702,000 – a rise of 0.3% on the figure for May 2023.

Homes in the the metro region are taking 40 days on average to sell, while in Sunbury the number of days to sell is 35.

When it comes to weekly median rents in Sunbury, that currently stands at $440, according to institute figures. Renting a unit will cost around $365 a week, and the median sale value of a unit in Sunbury is put at $450,000.
