Sunbury’s not-for-profit groups are among those invited to apply for grants of up to $2,000 to help fund local events that celebrate young people as part of September’s YouthFest celebrations.
YouthFest is state-funded and helps those aged 12-25 showcase their achievements, talents, and contributions.
The funding, says YouthFest, will help amplify the voices of young people by allowing them to take the lead on event planning, coordination, and delivery.
Funds will go to organisations that can demonstrate their ability to reach and engage with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Closing date for application is 14 March. Click here for more information.
Victorian Youth Fest events should:
- Be inclusive and accessible to all young people
- Support those who face barriers to community participation
- Offer, where possible, mixed modes of delivery (for example, online and in person)
