$10 million boost for Sunbury

Two new major developments have been announced for Sunbury together valued at more than $10 million.

Hume City Council is to spend $3.1 million, including $600,000 from the Victorian Government’s Sunbury Bulla Neighbourhood Fund, to turn the Sunbury Senior Citizens Centre into a modern multi-use facility.

The upgrade will include multi-use spaces, new and improved kitchen layout and coffee space, as well as improved outdoor spaces to keep residents active, engaged and thriving.

In addition, the Eric Boardman Reserve, a facility at the heart of youth sporting engagement in Sunbury, will see the installation of a synthetic track to allow for training and competitions to occur all year round for the Sunbury Little Athletics Club.

This upgrade is made possible with a $2 million investment from the Victorian Government and a $4.892 million investment from Hume City Council.
