New hotels open at airport – 200 jobs created

Novotel and Ibis Styles hotels opened at Melbourne Airport on Monday 1 July. They are the first new-build internationally branded hotels to open at the airport in more than 20 years.

The project cost $230m, and together the hotels have 464 three and four-star rooms, three conference spaces – including a ballroom and the airport’s first co-working space – a café and two restaurants.

They also features the airport’s first health and wellbeing club that has an indoor heated pool, sauna, spa, and fitness centre.

The hotels, which have created 200 jobs, are located next to the T4 Transport Hub and a five-minute walk from the combined T3 and T4 security screening.
