A Sunbury family is appealing to the community for help in finding their missing dog, Luda, who disappeared from the Jacksons Hill area Saturday, 16 August.
Owner Lee Iris said the pet staffy has not been seen since 2pm that day, despite an extensive search effort. Flyers have been distributed across the area, local vets and animal pounds contacted, and even a thermal drone deployed — but no confirmed sightings have been reported.
“It’s been four weeks and still no sightings of my dog, Luda,” Lee posted on the Jacksons Hill Facebook group. “I beg you to please keep an eye out for Luda. Report any potential sightings to the council ranger. Try and get a photo if you can.”
Luda is microchipped, desexed and registered. The owner has also contacted Central Animal Records, monitors lost and found websites, and has reached out to businesses and community members across Hume and surrounding areas.
Lee said she was grateful for the help of residents who had joined in the search, but remains concerned Luda may have been stolen.
A reward is being offered for Luda’s safe return.
