Median house values rise 1.5%

Houses in Sunbury have risen in value by 1.5% during the last quarter according to figures released this week by industry body the Real Estate Institute.

It put the current median figure (the point between the lowest and highest sale prices) at $655,000 – a rise of $10,000 on December last year. When it comes to property sizes, median values are:

  • 2 Beds: $487,500
  • 3 beds: $600,000
  • 4 beds: $720,000

Median values for units have leaped ahead, from $465,000 in December to $525,000 today.

The institute states the median days on the market before a house is sold in Sunbury stands at 33 and the clearance rate is 67%.

Weekly rental prices range between $400 (2 bed) and $540 (4 bed).
