Sunbury man’s $700,000 lotto win

A Sunbury man has won more than $700,000 with lotto numbers he’s been playing for 10 years.

“I was starting to think they were dud numbers as they never won anything,” he said. “But I kept playing them.

“It takes a while to sink in. It’s going to come in handy, that’s for sure. I probably won’t be shopping at Aldi [supermarket] anymore!”

His ticket was bought at Sunbury Square Lotto and News, Cnr Macedon & Evans Streets, and his winning numbers were 14, 42, 26, 12, 29 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 41.

The unnamed winner held one of the seven division one entries in TattsLotto draw 4465 on Saturday 4 May 2024 and scored a cool $703,314.88.

In November last year a Sunbury lotto winner won $20m – story here.
