Sunbury Macedon Ranges View Club celebrated its 33rd birthday with a ‘Gregarious in Green’ themed party on Friday 21 June.
Club members arrived sporting their best green outfits, made green-themed birthday cakes, and table decorations.
Ladies enjoyed a presentation by ‘The Lady with The Hats’, Gayle Fawkner, who displayed her collection of green vintage headwear. There were raffle prizes, lunch, and a lucky door prize, says club vice president Lee-anne Jeal.
“We are always looking for women to join us in supporting The Smith Family and we encourage anyone interested to get in touch and come along to one of our meetings to learn more about our View Club in Sunbury,” says Ms Jeal.
View (Voices, Interests and Education of Women) is a national women’s organisation with 14,000 members in close to 300 communities across Australia, all dedicated to supporting children in need.
View Sunbury meets 11am every third Friday of the month at Club Sunbury. At its next meeting on Friday 19 July Hume City Council will give an update on the Jackson’s Hill precinct.
